Abstract Structure

Restrictions in the body have their own unique story and reason to exist. When left unaddressed, physical dysfunctions force the body into faulty muscle recruitment patterns, compensation, postural aberration, and pain. Treating the symptoms of issues related to disturbances in the fascia network provides only temporary relief. When the pain persists then Myofascial Release can help to address the root of the problem.

Myofascial Therapy does not feel like a traditional massage. It is a very effective hands-on therapy that involves applying a gentle but sustained pressure onto the connective tissue in order to elicit a durable elongation in the underlying structures. During one particular session, a variety of other therapies can be used as well such as corrective exercises, assisted stretching, or breathing exercises.

I came to Mireille with debilitating back pain that I could not control despite numerous doctor visits and physical therapy. I was on the verge of getting surgery when I met Mireille in a last-ditch effort to manage my symptoms. To say this was a success is an understatement. Her mastery of massage techniques and exercises helped me in a way I did not think was possible. I have her to thank for my renewed quality of life. She is a miracle worker.
